He is one of approximately 400 lawyers in the State of Florida who is recognized by the Florida Bar as an expert in the area of real estate law.   Mr. Merino has been practicing law in Florida since 1995. He is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar and is a member of the Florida Bar Real Property, Trust and Probate Section. He is admitted to the United States District Court’s for the Southern District of Florida. He is fluent in Spanish. He is a member of various associations such as the American Bar Association, American Land Title Association, Title Insurance through Lawyers and is a title insurance agent for Old Republic National Title, Fidelity National Title Group, Chicago Title and Commonwealth. He is a certified by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation as a Realtor continuing education instructor. Mr. Merino has taught courses on topics such as foreign national real estate transactions, tax planning, entity structuring and immigration issues to both domestic and international audiences. He has taught courses on a ride variety of real estate and business topics to numerous real estate associations and professional organizations. He is a frequent lecturer to international audiences on topics such as real estate acquisitions, tax planning, entity structuring, estate planning, and asset protection for the foreign national.
